Our oak barrel-aged 2013 Chardonnay utilizing native wild yeast strands from the vineyard for the fermentation. This wine exhibits a light golden color, followed by a plush round mid-palate with white peach and popcorn-scented nose with excellent layers of fruit and a hint of butter in the finish. The wine is balanced and clean, with gravelly, stony scents and copious quantities of fruit. It reveals good acidity for a 2012 with medium body and full malolactic fermentation with extensive lees stirring, racked out of their barrels following eight months of cask aging, and allowed to settle in tank until bottling. Although made in a Burgundian manner, our 2013 Chardonnay boast the fruit and palate weight common to that of California Chardonnay, making this wine a real crowd pleaser.

Aromatics of peach and pear combine with traces of buttery oak and fresh bread on the nose. Flavors of peach, pear, and golden apple unfold into suggestions of minerals and buttered toast on the palate. A mouth-filling Chardonnay with a balanced acidity, pair a bottle with a creamy lobster bisque. 500 cases were made.
